A report by the Independent Chief Inspector of Borders and Immigration (ICIBI) found that Adams had presided over a "climate of fear" in which staff were afraid to speak out about wrongng.

The Home Secretary, Sajid Javid, has said that he is committed to reforming the Border Force and that he will implement the recommendations of the ICIBI report.
